THE HOLME FAMILY OF DETROIT
FROM 1880 TO THE PRESENT,
GENEALOGY, PHOTOS, AND MEMOIRS
Well, you see, it all started with John Fisher Holme and his wife Jane Longmire who immigrated with seven children from Westmoreland England to Detroit Michigan in the spring of 1880. They left their eldest son William behind in England. One more child was born after they arrived in Detroit, for a total of nine.
Sorry. As far as we know no photo of John has survived |

Descendants exist for most of the ten children. We have been trying to locate all of them, and are currently in contact with descendants of all the lines. William died as a child in 1865. Lillie never married and died at age 32 in 1899.
